Project “Integrated Smart Education in Robotics – INSMER”, Erasmus+ Programm Key Action 2: Strategic partnerships is coordinated by Archimedes as a national agency .

Project objectives

The main objective of the project is to achieve labor force compatible in the world labor market and able to fulfill the expectations of companies and therefore raise economic success of participating countries by developing a solid platform for educating students in the field of robotics corresponding to the new paradigm of Industry 4.0,. The main components of this platform that are developed and piloted in this project are new integrated module-based curricula for robot operator (RO) & robot-systems technician (RT), different module-based training programs for RO and RT for continual training and casebook for vocational studies and also for adult training containing modern smart learning principles and methods. These are also the project results that will be developed together by project partners, therefore accumulating knowledge and experiences and achieving more results with less resources than doing it separately. The project results are common for all partners, but every partner could modify them according to peculiarities and special needs of its country and industry.

The project helps partner educational institutions to be more familiar with the needs of Industry 4.0 and the demands of nowadays industry in the field of robotics as one important part of mechatronics. These needs will be incorporated into the curricula and adult training programs that will be developed. The case book developed in the project helps to implement new teaching methodologies that would meet the needs of today’s youth as well as adults and allow them quickly and easily acquire knowledge that is needed in today’s industry. Also the project helps to create a base for collaboration network that enables to make cooperation in designing courses and adapting new teaching methodologies and change information and knowledge. The project results are possible to broaden outside the project partners’ group, as well.
