Project opening meeting took place in Tallinn, Estonia, 24-25.Nov. 2015

At two-days kick-off meeting of CLUSME project representatives of all five participating organizations from Finland and Estonia participated. Overview of the project, its objectives, activities, tasks and timetable was presented, as well as reporting and templates introduced. Also activities and tasks were discussed what is important for implementing the project in the first half year of the project.

CLUSME project is going to develop the collaboration between clusters in Central Baltic region to improve the increase of export volumes and therefore the competitiveness of Estonian and Finnish mechanical engineering and mechatronics sector. The main objective is create preconditions for successful export to new expanding markets outside Europe through cluster-initiative and common marketing. Project duration is from 1. September, 2015 until 31. August, 2018. Project leading partner and coordinator is IMECC – Innovative Manufacturing Engineering Systems Competence Centre. Project partners are New Factory Ltd (Innovaatio Oy Uusi Tehdas)  and Machine Technology Centre Turku (Koneteknologiakeskus Turku Oy) from Finland and Association of Mechatronics (MTÜ Mehhatroonika Assotsiatsioon) and Federation of Estonian Engineering Industry (MTÜ Eesti Masinatööstuse Liit) from Estonia.

The project CLUSME is financed from the European Regional Development Fund via Central Baltic programme 2014-2020 .
